Helpful and Practical

By nature I'm a worry wart. I'd would have liked to blame it on my genes -- that I am a throwback to my dear maternal grandmother who was also a professional worrier. But in the long run, I knew better, and I wanted to do something about it.

So I ordered the Sedona Method.

I have carefully gone through the whole program several times. It's extremely effective if you work it. Some parts of it are repetitious, but for a reason. Some problems are more complex than others, and need more time. You have to work the system, but if you do, it will be worth it.

This program is unique in that it zeroes in on FEELINGS. Often our minds can be in the right place, but we still have emotions, feelings and gut-level issues that need to be dealt with. The course itself claims to be "simple," which is true. Religiously, it is neutral -- it can help you practice your own faith more efficiently.

However, being "simple" doesn't mean that there's no effort involved, and it isn't a magic bullet that will take care of every problem you have. But through attentive, careful practice you can get a lot of relief from the Sedona method. I have filtered several hurtful experiences through this system and have benifitted greatly.

Each of us has our own unique experiences and we will each have our own personal approach to this program.

The sedona method was one of those things that I found that profoundly changed my life. I have taken the entire course and thought it was masterfull. I now have a way of addressing my emotions and feel like I'm in control. I've become more happy and aware thanks to the Sedona Method. Highly recommended.

I found the Sedona course excellent tool for self development. This is based on Lester Lowensons works. . Here we let go of our emotions by asking series of simple questions and intending to let go of our emotions. Deeper than emotions are our basic wants-want of approval, want of security , want of control or want of oneness. Then we let go of underlying wants and ultimately let go of ego identity in the moment.

About the Author
After 20 years sales and marketing experience in the engineering, automotive and academic publishing sectors, Graham joined Leeds Business School in 1992. He is now a Principal Lecturer in Marketing teaching marketing communications and with responsiblity for postgraduate and professional courses in the School of Business Strategy. These include CIM, IDM and IPR programmes. He has been a CIM examiner in Integrated Marketing Communications for a number of years and is now Senior Examiner for this module during the period of CIM syllabus change. He is also involved with CIM as an external advisor on study centre accredition and an examiner for CIM certificated programmes. Graham has wide experience as an external examiner for marketing programmes at several other Universities and as a Subject Specialist Reviewer for the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. He has presented a number of conference papers and made contributions to texts in the marketing communications field.

An excellent informative resource, Chris Fill's 'Marketing Communications' is a comprehensive yet easily readable text the content of which is suitable for both marketing student and practitioner. Now in its third edition, it has improved yet again in both structure and content with rearrangement of chapters into a more logical order and with updated content.
The text has detailed content but succeeds in achieving a theoretical authority which is translated into strategic approaches and practical application, and supported with clearly related examples and mini-case studies. The marketing communications mix and related issues are covered with focus on the individual marketing communications elements and on the critical activity of planning and managing their integration. For students of studying for marketing examinations in higher education and professional Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) / American Marketing Association (AMA) level, this is an essential study text.
For business and marketing practioners requiring a marketing communications reference text this is a valuable resource. Those who do or wish to work in specific marketing communications fields such as advertising or promotion with find this a good background springboard to more specialised reading. Overall a highly recommeded text for students, professionals and business people in marketing and/or business. When its time is due, the fourth edition will be equally welcomed. About the Author

Interesting read. I knew a little about how ADHD med use was high, but I had no idea how pervasive a problem it has become. The author does a good job explaining the problem at a macro level, while using individual stories to drive it home. Anyone with kids should read this.

For the avid reader

I have been a Stephen King since I read "Carrie" for the first time. There was a lot of interesting trivia, most I never knew about. I appreciate and look forward to anything written about this icon. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that enjoys Mr. King's work. Kudos on a job well done.

I never read Stephen King's books because most of the books are expensive for me.But I am fan of his works from movie adaptation.I love the most is the, The green mile and Carrie.I watched most of the movies like,The fire starter,Stand by me,Silver bullet,The runningman,The lawnmawer man and so many more.Some of the books the Stephen likes are also my favorite like Angela's Ashes and My sister's keepers.This book gives us the lists of Stephen King's achievements.The book is written in a simple manner but carries a detailed information about Stephen King's.If you love this guy.Grab this book and you will see how talented is this guy and how he do it to the top.

Great buy. excellent exposition of every chapter with easy to understand examples of code in c mainly and thorough analysis of difficult concepts. It includes a broad coverage of algorithms that are asked in interview questions without the unneccesary math that includes a graduate course in the university.it is useful for students and graduates alike as a refresher.

So many differences, yet so similar

The first time I heard Maya A. speak, I had the little hairs at the back of my neck stand upright! I was moved and in awe.
I have read several of her works, all of which were cherished. However, after reading "Heart" I felt a deeper awareness. I am a middle class, white woman. I will NEVER understand the hate, fear, and anger experienced by anyone of color- no matter how much I learn, no matter how much I empathize. What I will share with all races is that emotions are emotions, no matter the color. Raising a child, falling in love and then realizing, "Oops, wrong one"...parental love, fear, anger...all make us human. I feel closer to this world for having forced myself to think about past misery and hatred. I wish my children the grace and dignity displayed by a remarkable woman. Thank You for reaching my soul.

You never know what's in a woman's heart

Maya Angelou impresses me. What a life! So many lives at the same: it's crazy. I've just watched a movie (featuring Wesley Snipes) that she has recently directed and which reminded of the kind of woman that I thought she was when I read her "Heart": compassionate, human...
Reading Angelou made me aware of what it is was to be a woman and a mother in America. I've read about fictional characters that had comparable difficulties and faced them with astonishing courage and endurance, but reading Maya made it more real for me. Doing that while one has so many commitments at the same time certainly compels admiration.
Words are inadequate to express how I felt to enter the heart of a woman that has so many experiences to share and read a book that is so simply and yet masterfully written.
In this review, I didn't want to be academic and all (commenting on the themes, the syntax, the structure, etc.). I just wanted to communicated what Maya's heart has put in my heart. Go for it, it's humanizing and worth-reading.

Triumph and Tragedy

The Heart of a Woman is a continuation of Angelou's autobiography, chronicling her adult life as a mother, wife and freedom fighter. The story begins with her decision to move to New York in the late 1950's when Martin Luther King and Malcom X were the most central political figures of that time. There she begins to write, produces the Cabaret of Freedom, a collaboration of performances given to raise money for the SCLC, becomes employed then by the SCLC in a position only held by men previously. Shortly after she has been working such a prestigious job, she meets and marries an African freedom-fighter who wisks Angelou and her son, Guy, off to Cairo where she knows noone. Maya Angelou appears to create good out of bad, a woman faced with tragedy numerous times throughout her life, yet comes out triumphant and victorious each time. Never did I feel as if I was being led to lament with her difficulties. On the contrary, I felt admiration for a woman who inhabited a strong sense of self and an even stronger zest for living. An inspirational story I would recommend to anyone.
